Why I’m remembering LNH in my will
“I moved to New Hampshire in 2001 and my experience in the class of 2004 left me with an insight and desire to serve that has stayed with me to this day. Without the LNH experience I would not have been in public office for the past 15 years.
Not only have I made annual contributions to the scholarship fund in Leadership New Hampshire, but I’ve also included LNH in my estate plans. I believe so strongly in LNH’s mission that I want to have a lasting effect on its future. “
–State Rep. Dennis Malloy, ’04

Naming LNH a Beneficiary of a Will or Trust
A common and simple way of supporting Leadership New Hampshire is by making a provision in your will or trust.
Your will designates your beneficiaries and spells out your final wishes. The beneficiaries would include your heirs, of course, but many people include provisions for charitable organizations as well. It is our hope that you will consider including Leadership New Hampshire in your plans.
The following suggested forms of bequests are examples that can be adapted by you and your attorney to meet your specific intentions.
Specific Bequest
A specific bequest names a particular dollar amount to be left to Leadership New Hampshire.
“I give and bequeath to Leadership New Hampshire, a New Hampshire non-profit corporation, Tax ID number 02-0457914, with offices at 20 Grove St., Suite 300, Peterborough, NH 03458, the sum of $ ___________ to be used for the general purposes of the organization.
Residuary Bequest
A residuary bequest first leave specific amounts to family members, friends, or other charities, and then designates that all or part of what remains should go to Leadership New Hampshire.
“I give and bequeath to Leadership New Hampshire, a New Hampshire non-profit corporation, Tax ID number 02-0457914, with offices at 20 Grove St., Suite 300, Peterborough, NH 03458, all (or stated percentage of) the rest residue and remainder of my estate to be used for the general purposes of the organization.”
Contingent Bequest
A contingent bequest names Leadership New Hampshire to receive part or all of your estate in the event your designated beneficiarie(s) predecease you.
“If any beneficiary named in this will is not living at my decease, then I give and bequeath to Leadership New Hampshire, a New Hampshire non-profit corporation, Tax ID number 02-0457914, with offices at 20 Grove St., Suite 300, Peterborough, NH 03458, any bequest which said beneficiary would have received if he or she had survived me.”
